La dolcevita isageless.

Joy and vitality are a choice — seven nights in Florence & Tuscany, where the science of aliveness meets the art of la dolce vita.

A note from Monica & Natalie

We're giving this the time it deserves.

When we first dreamed this up, we imagined a harvest-season gathering. But so many of you told us the same thing — you need time to create space for such an immersive experience. We heard you.

So we're moving the retreat to Spring 2027, when Tuscany is at its most alive. Peach, apricot and cherry orchards blossom in pinks and whites. Wisteria paths turn purple. Wild poppies begin to dot the fields — a full floral explosion, and the perfect backdrop for coming back to life.

Until then, there are a few gentle ways to keep a little dolce vita energy flowing through your autumn and winter.

With warmth,

Monica & Natalie

The Intention

Why we gather, and what we are really here to do.

Monica holding a ceramic heart beside a driftwood heart
01

Vitality is a choice.

The years come regardless. How much life moves through them is not fixed — your energy, your resilience, the glow in your skin, your appetite for joy are all more negotiable than anyone told you. Science is only now catching up to what Italians have always lived: how you spend your days becomes your biology.

02

La dolce vita as a biological practice.

Seven nights with one purpose: to help your body remember la dolce vita — slow pleasure, deep rest, real food, everyday beauty — not as indulgence, but as medicine. It's where the newest research on how our cells make energy meets the oldest wisdom of the Tuscan table.

03

For the woman ready to reinvent.

You can feel it — pushing, coping, surviving isn't who you want to be anymore. Women like you are starving for aliveness, and telling themselves it can wait. It can't. And wanting it isn't selfish — your aliveness is the fuel everything else in your life runs on.

The Transformation

You didn't come to be fixed. You came to feel alive again.

Let's be honest about the real fear — the one underneath the creams, the procedures, the endless chasing. It isn't the lines on your face. It's the quiet dread that the aliveness is draining out of you, that the most vivid years are already behind you. That's the lie this week is built to put down. Not by fighting the years, but by flooding vitality back in — teaching your body to generate joy and aliveness from the inside, instead of managing a slow fade. Most women don't name the real shift until weeks later, back home: they just feel more alive — more awake, more like themselves — than they have in years, and this time it holds.

A woman turning her face to the light
01

Self-Respect

Treating your own energy as something worth protecting — listening to your body instead of overriding it, the way you'd never override someone you love.

02

Self-Appreciation

Noticing, at last, how much life is still in you: how much is vital, capable and rare, and always was.

03

Self-Love

Trading the chasing and the fixing for a deep at-homeness in your own skin — a living body to enjoy, not a project to solve.

04

Self-Agency

Coming home able to generate your own aliveness — the author of a next chapter that's vivid, chosen, and entirely yours.

Underneath all four is a single shift: from the woman quietly managing a decline to the Vital Matriarch — not power over anyone, but power with; the woman whose own aliveness holds and lifts everyone around her. She's stopped trying to slow her age and started inhabiting it as a source of strength.

You'll come home…

Catching your own reflection and, for the first time in years, softening instead of bracing.

A body that feels alive again — awake, energized, with pleasure and ease back in your own skin.

A sharp, curious mind, and a lightness that doesn't wait on everything being perfect.

The ability to generate your own joy and vitality from the inside, instead of waiting on circumstances to hand it to you.

A circle of women who see the whole of you — and stay.

Spring in Tuscany is a slow awakening — and so is this: a gathering-in of the woman you have quietly become.

And if nothing changes?

The quiet cost of carrying on.

Probably nothing dramatic. That's what makes it so easy to keep putting off. The years just go on the way they've been going.

A quiet moment, contemplating what comes next
01

The slow fade

You keep managing a decline nobody ever asked if you wanted. One morning the face in the mirror is a stranger, and you can't say when that happened.

02

Always chasing the next fix

You keep hunting for the thing that will finally make you feel beautiful and alive from the inside — the serum, the supplement, the new morning routine, the next expert, the trip that's meant to be different this time. And while you're chasing the fix that's always just out of reach, you can't taste what's already right in front of you: the people, the light, the ordinary pleasures on the table — the whole life that's still here, still trying to give itself to you.

03

Going numb

You get to the end of a beautiful day and realize you weren't really in it. Still successful, still showing up — but present at everything and there for none of it.

04

It's not only you who pays

This is costing the people closest to you, too. Your children, your partner, the ones who look to you to be the warm, steady center of things. When your joy is performed instead of real, they feel the gap — the resentment under the smile, the shame, the “I'm fine” that isn't. They can't name it and they don't know what to do with it, so they end up carrying it with you.

05

The years only the brave ever spend

Your 40s, 50s and 60s can be the richest years of your life — this is the season when a woman finally knows who she is, what she wants, and how connected she is to her own essence. Here's the quiet trap in carrying on as usual: you may never even feel the loss, because you'll never know what was possible. Only the women who get curious, who dare, ever find out. That's the real cost — not a pain you'll feel, but a whole life you'll never know you could have lived.

None of this is loud. That's what makes it so easy to keep postponing — and easy to reach the end still never knowing what you missed. This week is for the women who'd rather find out.

What makes this different

Most retreats treat the pleasure as the reward — the beautiful week you've earned. Then you land back home and within a day or two it's gone, and you're the same tired woman who left, a little tanner and a little poorer.

We do it the other way around. The beauty, the rest, the long meals, the pleasure — that's not the prize here, it's the method. It's what opens you enough for the real shift to happen. And because the week is only the middle — there's work before you arrive and after you get home — what opens in Tuscany is still with you in November, at your own kitchen table.

The pleasure isn't a break from the transformation. It's how the transformation happens.

"Pleasure is essential and necessary as a right to enjoy life in every moment. It's not to be earned, is not a reward, is not a trophy."

Monica Pandele · The Joyful Rebellion

The Location

Florence, and the golden hills of Tuscany.

A Renaissance city and the cypress-lined countryside beyond it — the food, the light, the art and the land, engaged not as sightseeing but as nervous-system medicine. Your home in Tuscany is shared with registered guests.

The Days

Unhurried days — and by the end of them, you're not the same.

The Science of Ageless Vitality
01

The Science of Ageless Vitality

We'll sit with the research of Dr. Martin Picard at Columbia — work that stopped us in our tracks the first time we read it. Your mitochondria are basically eavesdropping on your life, turning your moods, your stress, even your relationships into the energy you feel as vitality, or don't. Which means depletion isn't a life sentence. It's a setting. And settings can be changed.

Sensory Immersion in Florence & Tuscany
02

Sensory Immersion in Florence & Tuscany

The food, the light, the art, the language, the land — slowed down enough that they actually land. Most of us travel too fast to feel where we are. Here you get the time to let a place get into your body, not just your camera roll.

The Tuscan Table
03

The Tuscan Table

Long, slow meals where the food, the pleasure and the company are all one thing — every course a small act of care for a body most of us have been rushing past for years.

"You cannot create from emptiness. You can perform from depletion — we are all experts at it — but it is never sustainable."

Monica · The Joyful Rebellion

The Journey

An intimately crafted transformation journey.

A vacation starts on the plane and ends at the airport. This doesn't. There's a phase before, the week itself, and a phase after — because we've learned the hard way that the part that lasts is the part after you get home.

01 · Before You Arrive

Prime

This is where we start getting you ready — not just your suitcase, but your mind, heart and body. In the weeks before we gather, there are a few gatherings designed to get you activated, savoring the adventure before it even begins. You'll also take two assessments, so we truly know where you're starting from: a HeartMath stress and wellbeing test that surfaces your own particular sources of stress and how you tend to handle them, and the Energy Leadership Index (ELI), which measures your core makeup of draining versus expansive energy and shows you the mental filters — the “lenses” — you view your world and your choices through.

02 · The Seven Nights

Immerse

The heart of it. Seven nights where the science of vitality and the pleasure of la dolce vita stop being separate things — movement, food, art, real conversation, deep rest. Each day is built to lift your mood and shift how you take in beauty through all your senses, how you see yourself, your own body, your gifts. Somatic and cognitive threads woven through a tapestry of experiences you won't forget. Not by talking about it — by living it, for a week, until it feels like yours.

03 · After You Leave

Integrate

This is the phase almost every retreat leaves out, and it's exactly why theirs wear off. What you find in Tuscany has to survive the trip home. So there's a structured stretch afterward to work it into ordinary life — a second HeartMath stress and wellbeing test to show you what actually changed, and a coaching session to map your own way of sustaining the aliveness you activated. This is where Italy stops being a memory and starts being how you live.

Lived, not listed

This is what your investment truly buys — a week of sensory adventures, embodied.

What's Included

Every detail, handled.

From the moment you land, you don't have to arrange, decide, or manage a single thing — which, for women who arrange, decide and manage everything, is its own kind of medicine. None of this is here to tick off a sightseeing list. Every piece was chosen because it does something to you.

Think of what follows as the spices — each one a different flavor of aliveness. On their own they're lovely; together they're what makes the whole week taste like Tuscany.

Your home in Tuscany

Where you'll land, and won't want to leave.

Luxury villa or boutique hotel

A place so lovely you won't want to leave it, and won't have to lift a finger while you're in it.

Beauty that moves you

Art you feel in the chest, not just the eyes.

The Accademia Gallery

Standing in front of David long enough that you forget to check your phone. That's the whole point; a few minutes of real awe do something no spa treatment can.

Private museum guides

Art historians who get you in past the lines and make the work come alive, so you're never standing there wondering what you're looking at.

The Medici Chapels

Michelangelo's sculptures inside the tomb of Florence's ruling family. You come out thinking differently about what a life can be.

Duomo & Brunelleschi's Dome

The cathedral and that impossible dome overhead. Look up long enough and your own worries change size.

The Tuscan table

The land, served slowly.

Olive harvest & oil tasting

Hands in the branches, then the first taste of the oil you actually picked. There's a plain animal satisfaction in it that catches people off guard.

Bespoke vineyard tastings

Wine tasted slowly in the hills that grew it, with nowhere you need to be after.

Artisan cheese tasting

The flavors of the region, properly paired, given the attention food almost never gets from us.

Cooking lesson with a local chef

Flour on your hands next to a Tuscan cook, and the pleasure of making the thing instead of just eating it.

Fine dining

A few unforgettable tables where dinner is the event and lingering is expected.

Back into your body

Off the page and into the senses.

Immersed nature walks

Slow walks through the countryside, feet on the ground, no destination — the kind of walking that reminds the body it's an animal that belongs outside.

Playful interactive experiences

Playful, a little rebellious, pointed at one question: what makes YOU, specifically, feel alive again.

The inner work

The parts that make it more than a trip.

The Energy Leadership Index (ELI)

A real attitudinal assessment, included — because this is more than a beautiful trip. It connects your mindset and stress levels straight to your physical vitality and health, so you can feel how much the inside runs the outside. It shows you where you're stuck in survival mode — the resentment, the sense of being trapped by symptoms and by what aging is “supposed” to be. And it helps you stop reacting out of fatigue or fear, so you can choose from power, joy and real radiance instead.

HeartMath stress & wellbeing test

A clear read on where your stress actually comes from and how you tend to meet it — measured before and after, so your progress is something you can see, not just sense.

Fireside chats

The old magic of storytelling around a fire, where hardship turns into wisdom, grit into resilience, and vulnerability into courage. The honest conversations that don't happen at dinner parties — about beauty, aging, and who you're becoming.

To carry home

Proof, and a little of Italy, for after.

Private photoshoot

Photographs of you in this chapter, so later you have proof of the woman you decided to be here — and a reminder to keep choosing what makes you fully alive.

High-end shopping tourOptional

A guided wander through the good shops, if you want to see, feel, and take home a little of that timeless, effortless Italian elegance.

Flights to Italy and airport transfers to and from the hotel in Florence aren't included. Everything else — before, during and after, including the prep and the follow-up that make it actually stick — is.

Why this matters to us

We are not teaching this from a book. We have lived it.

Aging is inevitable. How we meet it is not. Left to the world's script it becomes something to fight, to hide, to apologise for. Met differently, it becomes the most liberating passage of a woman's life. For some the reckoning arrives quietly — a hum beneath the years. For others, it lands like thunder.

"Joy is a prerequisite, not an outcome."

Monica · The Joyful Rebellion
Monica, guide and founder

Monica's story

For years it was a hum in the background. Then perimenopause turned it into a spotlight — the anxiety, the fear that I'd never again taste life as ferociously as I once had, a body changing in ways that made me question my worth: whether I was still someone who could be desired, still someone who could be loved.

My aliveness halved. And still I kept going — building the business, holding everyone I loved, tending the earth. Until I walked into the darkness and understood I had to reset entirely: to nourish myself, to listen to my body instead of overriding it, to stop pouring my life force into a wounded ego's demands — proving, pleasing, waiting to be perfect before I dared.

I learned that joy is non-negotiable. That pleasure and meaning are not the reward for a life well lived — they are the fuel for it. And that only from that wholeness could I become what I was always here to be: a stand for other women's transformation.

This season of reinvention was a precious gift — it let me discover and choose the practices that regenerate me, reconnecting with my true inner nature and with everything around me. And why Italy? Because it is where my heart feels at home. Here, connecting with beauty in all its forms — art, food, sound, texture, landscape, open-hearted people — comes naturally. La dolce vita is always present: not as false positivity, but as a way of turning toward what gives us life, satisfaction and meaning.

"The joyful rebellion isn't grand. It's the quiet, daily, countercultural act of letting yourself arrive — in your body, in this moment, in the pleasure already here."

Monica · The Joyful Rebellion

Natalie's story

My first journey to Florence was not one I chose — it was chosen for me. My only request to my best friend was simple: take me somewhere beautiful. He delivered. We travelled the way we always did — fitting two weeks of exploring into five whirlwind days — and Florence answered by awakening every sense and, more than that, reigniting my soul. I left knowing, with my whole body, that I had to return.

Three months later I did — for a sabbatical. I joined a friend at art school, studied Renaissance art history, took private painting lessons. One month became two as a single open door became many, each drawing me toward a life that was simpler, more joyful, beautiful in every ordinary way. In the years since I've brought my family to explore Italy end to end — Venice to Sicily, mountains to lakes, rolling hills to medieval villages that hold their charm in perpetuity.

Italy has a way of adopting you. All it asks is a little courage — to fumble through the language, to share the table, to try without shame for your imperfections. Every effort is met with warmth, and every effort opens another door. I've returned every year since, and each time the same magical energy meets me — through every transition and its most painful moments, Italy has held me in a way that is intangible and utterly visceral. And each time I've come away more myself, not less, than the year before.

The people, the art, the architecture, the food, the fields of flowers — Italy wrapped itself around me until beauty stopped being something I visited and became something I lived. It changed how I inhabit my own life: slower, more awake, far less braced against time. That is why I bring women here now — not to sightsee, but to feel that same shift in themselves. Italy has a way of returning you to who you were before the world told you to hurry.

Natalie, guide and founder

"Italy submerged me in a beauty so complete it became timeless — an invitation to rewire your mind and rewrite the story of your life."

Questions

Everything you might be wondering.

This is for you if you're one of ten accomplished women ready for a different chapter than the one you've outgrown — in some season of reinvention, wanting a new relationship with your body, your time, and your aliveness. Yes, it's a vacation — the beauty, the rest, the pleasure are real. We just use all of it as the doorway to something deeper. No experience required, only the willingness to be present, honest, and open.

We play win-win or no play — that's the rule. So rather than talk you into anything, we'd rather be transparent and let you choose powerfully what's right for you. A room of ten only works if it's the right ten, so, plainly — this probably isn't your week if:

  • 01You want to switch off and check out. This is a real vacation — beauty, rest, pleasure, all of it — but it isn't a numb one. If you want to disappear into a spa and feel nothing, you'll be happier somewhere else.
  • 02You want to be fixed in seven days and then forget about it. The prep before and the follow-up after are the parts that make it last. If you're already planning to skip those, it won't stick — and we'd rather say so now than take your money.
  • 03You'd rather hang back and watch. The whole thing runs on the women in the room being honest with each other. Keep your walls up and observe from the edge, and you'll get a lovely trip and miss the point entirely.
  • 04You're waiting for everyone else to change first. If the plan is for your husband, your job, or your circumstances to fix how you feel, this isn't it. The entire point is learning to make that feeling yourself, from the inside.
  • 05You need to be talked into it. This is a gut yes or it's a no. If you're price-shopping it against three other trips, or waiting to be convinced, your timing probably isn't here yet — and that's completely okay.

And if you read all that and felt relief instead of resistance? You're likely exactly who we built this for.

This is our first Ageless Woman gathering, and we want you to know that going in. What isn't new is the work itself: between us we've spent years guiding women through exactly this kind of transformation, and Natalie has been returning to Florence and Tuscany for years — every location, table and experience in this week is one we've lived ourselves. What you'll read in the testimonials on this page comes from that work, not from this retreat. It's part of why the circle is only eight to ten, and why we read every application personally.

Florence and the hills of Tuscany, Italy — seven nights, in April 2027. The exact dates will be announced this fall; join the priority list and you'll be the first to know.

Applications for the April 2027 gathering open this fall. The circle is small, so places will be offered by application — and the priority list is invited first. There's nothing to pay right now: join the list, and when the doors open we'll reach out personally. When you're invited, a $750 deposit secures your place and is applied to your total retreat fee of $6,497.

Yes — and we hope you do. Bring a friend along and you'll both receive a bonus post-retreat mastermind with Natalie and Monica (worth $500), where we co-create a personalized blueprint to integrate your transformation into daily life, effortlessly.

Absolutely — we've got you. We know this is a significant investment, and payment plans are available. These are arranged in two to three steps, agreed together on a case-by-case basis to work with your circumstances — completed ahead of the retreat on a schedule we set together.

Accommodation in Tuscany, the full guided programme, nourishment at the Tuscan table — continental breakfasts, light “on-the-go” lunch options, and nourishing dinners — the HeartMath assessment (before and after), and the pre-retreat preparation and post-retreat integration. Flights to Italy and airport transfers to and from the hotel in Florence are not included.

The downpayment is non-refundable but fully transferable to a future retreat within twelve months. In exceptional, unforeseen circumstances — such as a medical emergency, a death in the family, or a genuine inability to travel — we will work with you compassionately on a case-by-case basis to find a fair resolution, which may include a refund. We highly recommend trip cancellation insurance to protect your investment against the unexpected — it offers peace of mind for you, and gives us both a clear, fair path should life intervene. Full terms are provided at registration.
